The huge tower of human skulls unearthed in Mexico City

Tales of a tower of skulls that struck fear into the hearts of Spanish conquistadors have been passed down through the generations in Mexico. Then in 2015 archaeologists discovered skulls buried under a building in Mexico City. What they found shocked them, and led to an excavation that’s lasted over five years - advancing knowledge of the Aztec people in the process.
